Thankyou for taking the time to reply to my problem,first of all let me apologise for taking a few days to reply to your possible solutions,as I have been systematically running through your possible remedies. I have IE8-32bit version I have had no error messages when installing Flash Player. No error messages when installing IE8,however I have had on several occasions a pop-up telling me that IE8 has encountered a problem and needs to shut down. I tried all of your suggestions, most of them I had tried previously.The one that I hadn't tried before was uninstalling IE8,when I did try this my browser reverted to IE6, even though before I had IE8 installed I was using IE7, when I did this, I could log onto websites but they just froze altogether,so infact it was inopperable.
