Hi- I have the default setup on my Mac. If I draw two cubes or cylinders and then right click on one and hold the command key down it allows me to move them about the screen.
Is there a way to just select and move one of them. I don't understand why both are moved. Are they considered linked together somehow? Thanks, j OS: Mac OS X Word size: 64-bit Version: 0.14.3703 (Git) Branch: releases/FreeCAD-0-14 Hash: c6edd47334a3e6f293db2b9b4f0e40 Python version: 2.7.5 Qt version: 4.8.6 Coin version: 3.1.3 SoQt version: 1.5.0 OCC version: 6.7.0. To move the part with the mouse, you need to use the Draft > Move tool. Otherwise, select the cube you want to move in the Tree view and then use Edit > Placement.
Which will bring up a dialog that will allow you to set the transition and rotation of the part. Lemonbug wrote:Thank you and you are right. I was panning and not moving the objects. I was able to move them once I got to draft mode. The mouse on the Mac is not easy to use for sure. I am making progress with this, but still playing. I was able to set one object to a position of 0,0,0 but now with the second it is grayed out.
Any idea why? Thanks again. Are you saying that the second cube is grayed out, (hidden), in the tree view? If so, just select it and tap the space bar, that will make it visible.
I recently installed an auto-update of my copy of PowerPoint for Mac 2016 and noticed something that is incredibly frustrating. When I try to Option-drag an object to transform/resize it from its center point, that modifier key is no longer working. I can perform the function, but PPT is requiring me to use the CNTL key instead of the Option key! Not only does the use of that modifier key differ from literally EVERY SINGLE OTHER APPLICATION ON A MAC, but when using a laptop, the CNTL key is only available for use with the left hand. What happened? Why has this change been made?
And will it be addressed in a future update? Because it's ridiculous.
